Three Jayhawks Named ITA Scholar-Athletes; Team Also Honored

Kansas graduated seniors Nina Khmelnitckaia and Janet Koch, and rising sophomore Sonia Smagina, were named 2019 All-Academic Scholar Athletes Thursday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). In addition, the ITA named the 2018-19 Jayhawks as an All-Academic Team.

Kansas volleyball reveals 2019 schedule

The 2019 Kansas volleyball regular-season schedule  includes 11 matches in the new Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena. In all, the Jayhawks will play 18 matches against teams that finished the 2018 season in the NCAA Volleyball RPI top-100, and eight matches against teams that made the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

Bill Self named Kansan of the Year by the Kansas Society of Washington, D.C.

KU men’s basketball head coach Bill Self was named the 2019 Kansan of the Year by the Kansas Society of Washington, D.C, at its annual banquet Wednesday evening at the Westin Washington, D.C., City Center.
