For the 34th-consecutive season, the Kansas men's basketball team is ranked in the Associated Press (AP) Preseason Men's Basketball Poll. The Jayhawks, ranked in each preseason poll since the 1990-91 season, check in at No. 19 in the preseason poll announced Oct. 13.
While Kansas is known for many basketball legends, the sport will be a community builder like never before at the University of Kansas this fall. Before a single game tips, Jayhawks will be playing for a new cause — cancer research.
Kansas men's basketball will open the 2025-26 Big 12 Conference season at UCF on Saturday, Jan. 3, as the league announced its schedule today. Specific times and television coverage will be released by the conference later.
