OMAHA, Neb. – Kansas opened the Omaha tournament with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over South Florida before falling 3-0 to Creighton in a tightly contested matchup at DJ Sokol Arena. Grace Nelson and Reese Ptacek were both named to the Creighton Classic All-Tournament team for their standout performances over the weekend. With the tournament complete, Kansas improves to 9-5 overall as the team looks ahead to Big 12 Conference play.

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Kansas libero and defensive specialist, Ryan White, has been named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week after anchoring the Jayhawks' back row in a perfect 3–0 weekend at the Coyote Invitational. She finished the tournament with 43 digs (4.78 per set), including a season-best 27 digs in the sweep at South Dakota — the highest single-match total of the event. She added eight digs each in victories over FGCU and Green Bay, providing steady defense that allowed Kansas to stay in system and extend its winning streak.
