What's the significance behind your jersey number?
- My Dad wore it in high school and I’ve always worn it because of that.
Who or what inspired you to start playing basketball growing up?
- My Dad inspired me to play while growing up. He’s a basketball coach, so I just always grew up around the game.
Do you have any pregame superstitions or routines?
- I always listen to music and have a good pregame meal a couple hours before the game.
Tell us about your favorite basketball moment as a player or fan.
- Winning a CIF championship in high school.
Who do you model your game off of?
- I model my game off of guys like Klay Thompson and Devin Booker, guys who can shoot and score efficiently.

OVERVIEW
A standout shooting guard who signed with Kansas in November 2025 … Concluded his high school career as Mater Dei’s all-time leading scorer and all-time three-point field goals made record holder.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played his prep career at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif., for coach Gary McKnight … Averaged 21.0 points, 3.7 rebounds 1.9 assists, 1.4 steals his junior season … Set the Mater Dei career record for points (2,244), three-point field goals made (419), points in a game (55), and threes made in a game (12).

Parents are Keith and Laura Barnett … One of six children and is the second youngest … Earned the Academic Excellence Award in high school maintaining 4.0 grade point average each semester.
