🏐 Burns Garners Second Big 12 Rookie of the Week Award

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas volleyball freshman Raegan Burns has been named the Big 12 Rookie of the Week after an impressive showing at TCU, the conference announced Tuesday.

Burns notched her 14th match in her true-freshman season recording double-digit digs when she posted 17 in the Jayhawks’ four-set win over TCU. Her digs per set average (4.25) was the third best in the Big 12 last week.

The Lafayette, Indiana native was perfect on the reception against the Horned Frogs, tallying 14 total receptions with zero errors. Burns also posted her seventh service ace of the season and contributed three assists to round out her stat line.

Burns checks in at No. 8 on the Big 12 leaderboard in the digs per set category, averaging 3.57 digs per set. She is the only freshman on the list.

This is the libero’s second-career Big 12 accolade, with her last one coming on September 26th.
