PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Kansas junior Anastasia Rychagova will play in the main singles draw consolation finals after a win Saturday at the Riviera ITA Women’s All-American in Pacific Palisades, California at the Riviera Tennis Club.
In the consolation semifinals, Rychagova defeated the No. 3-seeded Melissa Lord of Stanford, 7-6 (5), 6-3, to advance to the final match.
“(Saturday) was another great competitive match for Nas (Rychagova),” said assistant coach Caroline Lilley. “She has shown so much resilience from the very start of this tournament. Her willingness to fight, regardless of the circumstances, is fun to watch. She carries herself with so much class and competes in the most professional manner possible.”
The No. 35-ranked Rychagova will face Oklahoma’s No. 19-ranked Lily Miyazaki Sunday at 11 a.m., CT.
