LAWRENCE, Kan. – Jayhawk student-athletes are swapping their jerseys for Halloween costumes on Wednesday, October 30, as they team up with The Ballard Center to present "Crimson and Boo" – a family-friendly Halloween celebration at the Booth Family Hall of Athletics. The event will run from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., offering a thrilling evening of fun, games, and community engagement.
Organized by the Kansas Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), "Crimson and Boo" gives children the chance to trick-or-treat with their favorite Jayhawk student-athletes, participate in Halloween-themed games, and experience the festive spirit alongside the KU community. Families are encouraged to wear costumes, and admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable food item, which will benefit local families in need through The Ballard Center.
"Crimson and Boo is one of my favorite events as a student-athlete. It's so rewarding to engage with the kids and support the community that's always behind us," said SAAC Leadership Team member Grace Zifcak.
