Kansas vs. Penn State Selected for ESPNU Broadcast

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The non-conference matchup between Kansas and Penn State at Allen Fieldhouse will be broadcast to a nationally-televised audience on ESPNU, the Big 12 Conference announced Wednesday.

Kansas will host Penn State on Sunday, Dec. 15, at Allen Fieldhouse, with tipoff set for 2 p.m. CT. This will be the culmination of a home-and-home series between the Jayhawks and Nittany Lions, with Penn State claiming a 91-85 victory in University Park, Pa., last season. Penn State leads the all-time series 3-2, but this year's matchup will be the first between the teams played in Lawrence. Three of the previous meetings were played at Penn State, while the other two were played at neutral sites.

A total of 19 games were selected to be televised by the ESPN family of networks, FOX or FS1, with 16Â of those being conference games. Each of KU's 18 conference games will be broadcast on Big 12 NOW on ESPN+ as a part of existing third-tier rights agreements.

Behind Preseason All-Big 12 selection S'Mya Nichols, Kansas was picked to finish eighth in the Big 12 during the upcoming season. The Jayhawks return two starters from last season's team that won 20 games and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Nichols and super-senior guard Wyvette Mayberry.

Kansas begins the 2024-25 season with an exhibition game against Washburn on Nov. 1 before hosting Lindenwood on Nov. 6 in the first of seven non-conference games at Allen Fieldhouse.
