LAWRENCE, Kan. – For the first time this season, Kansas women's basketball will face a nationally ranked opponent as No. 11 TCU comes to town on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Tipoff from Allen Fieldhouse is set for 2 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on ESPN+ with Josh Klingler (play-by-play) and Brenda VanLengen (analyst) on the call. Fans can also listen to the game on the Jayhawk Radio Network from Learfield, with Steven Davis and David Lawrence calling the action.

The game was originally supposed to be played on Tuesday night, but winter weather conditions impacting travel caused the game to be changed to Wednesday afternoon.

Kansas returns home for the first time in 2025 following two road games last week. The Jayhawks are coming off a 75-66 victory at Oklahoma State on Saturday, which was KU's first conference win of the season. Kansas comes into Wednesday's contest with a record of 11-3, which includes a 1-2 mark in Big 12 play.

S'Mya Nichols led the Jayhawks with 27 points, seven assists and four rebounds in the win at Oklahoma State. This was the fourth-straight game in which she has scored 20 or more points and her 10th time this season. Nichols is the No. 2 leading scorer in the Big 12 and No. 9 nationally, averaging 21.9 points per game for the season. She also continues to lead the country in both free throws made (125) and attempted (152), and she's ranked No. 8 in the Big 12 by shooting 82.2 percent from the line.

Regan Williams scored a career-high 18 points at OSU for her fourth game this season scoring in double figures. Named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week on Dec. 9, Williams is KU's third-leading scorer at 7.8 points per game and leads the team with 5.7 rebounds per game.

Elle Evans scored 17 points at Oklahoma State for her sixth-straight game scoring in double figures and 11th in the past 12 games. She added six rebounds and a season-high three blocked shots in the win. Evans is KU's No. 2 leading scorer, averaging 13.5 points per game, while leading the Jayhawks with 30 made three-pointers, while shooting 93.9 percent (31-33) from the free throw line.

The Jayhawks finished non-conference play with a 10-1 record, defeating Penn State 68-65 on Dec. 15 in Lawrence to go 7-0 at home prior to the start of league play. Kansas has won 28 of its last 30 home games, dating back to the end of the 2022-23 season.

After playing a home-and-home series in each season since 2012-13, Kansas and TCU met just once last season, with the Jayhawks claiming an 81-74 victory in Fort Worth on Feb. 3, 2024. Kansas has won six of the last eight matchups against TCU, including three-straight at Allen Fieldhouse.

TCU comes to Lawrence as the No. 11-ranked team in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll. The Horned Frogs are 15-1 on the year and 3-0 in league play, with all three wins by more than 10 points. TCU ranks fourth in the Big 12 in scoring, averaging 82.6 points per game, with three of top 10 scorers in the Big 12 Conference in Hailey Van Lith (5th, 17.9 ppg), Sedona Prince (8th, 17.3) and Madison Conner (10th, 16.8).
