Jayhawks in the NFL – Week 16

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Week 15 of the 2025 NFL Season has passed, and several Jayhawks are making an impact as the playoffs draw closer. Read below for more information on how the Jayhawks are performing at the next level.
Kansas is currently represented by 10 Jayhawks on NFL rosters, including Steven Sims (Arizona Cardinals - PS), Cobee Bryant (Atlanta Falcons), Austin Booker (Chicago Bears), Hakeem Adeniji (Dallas Cowboys), Devin Neal (New Orleans Saints), Quentin Skinner (New York Jets – PS), Logan Brown (Seattle Seahawks – PS), Dominick Puni (San Francisco 49ers), Bryce Cabeldue (Seattle Seahawks) and Dorance Armstrong (Washington Commanders – IR).
Cobee Bryant – Atlanta Falcons
Playing in his rookie season as an undrafted free agent, Cobee Bryant has stepped up when called upon. Bryant has seen action in three games this season (vs. Carolina, at New Orleans, at Tampa Bay) and has played a total of 73 snaps. Last week against the Buccaneers, Bryant went toe-to-toe with wide receiver Mike Evans, playing a career-high 58 snaps and recorded five tackles and one pass defended. The Falcons went on to beat the Bucs, 29-28.
The Falcons are 5-9 on the season and will close out the season with the Arizona Cardinals (Dec. 21), Los Angeles Rams (Dec. 29) and New Orleans Saints (Jan. 4).
Austin Booker – Chicago Bears
In his second season, Austin Booker has had a strong start to his career in Chicago, playing in 24 career games and registering 4.5 sacks. This season alone, Booker has career highs in total tackles (22), sacks (3) and forced fumbles (1). Last week against the Browns, Booker came up big with two sacks and four tackles, including the game-ending sack on Shedeur Sanders as the Bears won with a dominate defensive effort, 31-3. Booker's standout season has him on the ballot for the NFL Pro Bowl.
Booker and the Bears are in prime playoff contention with a 10-4 record and are atop the NFC North. The Bears will take on the Green Bay Packers (Dec. 20), San Francisco 49ers (Dec. 28) and Detroit Lions (Jan. 4) to close out the season.
Hakeem Adeniji – Dallas Cowboys
Fifth-year offensive lineman Hakeem Adeniji is in his first season with the Dallas Cowboys after stops with the Cincinnati Bengals (2020-23) and Minnesota Vikings (2024). Adeniji has seen playing time at left tackle and left guard for the Cowboys this season, playing 76 snaps in five games. Adeniji has not allowed a sack this season.
The Dallas Cowboys sit in second place in the NFC East at 6-7 and will face the Los Angeles Chargers (Dec. 21), Washington Commanders (Dec. 25) and New York Giants (Jan. 4) to finish the season.
Devin Neal – New Orleans Saints
In his rookie season with the New Orleans Saints, Devin Neal has played a large role in the Saints' offense in recent week, taking a majority of the carries in the Saints' backfield. In week 14 against the Buccaneers, Neal carried the ball a career-high 19 times for 70 yards and his first career rushing touchdown, which came on a 3-yard carry. One week later, Neal found the endzone again against the Carolina Panthers, scoring from 4-yards out. Neal carried seven times for 28 yards against the Panthers before exiting due to injury.
Over the season, Neal has carried 57 times for 206 yards and two touchdowns, while catching 17 passes for 104 yards.
The New Orleans Saints have won their last two games with Neal at running back and hold a 4-10 record in the NFC South. The Saints will finish their season with the New York Jets (Dec. 21), Tennessee Titans (Dec. 28) and Atlanta Falcons (TBD).
Dominick Puni – San Francisco 49ers
After being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2024, Dominick Puni has been a mainstay in the 49ers offensive line, starting every game at right guard this season. Puni has played 939 snaps, allowing only one sack in 14 games this season.
Puni is among the 49ers that are on the ballot for the NFL Pro Bowl, as San Francisco is among the top teams in the NFC with a 10-4 record this season. The 49ers look to finish the season strong with games against the Indianapolis Colts (Dec. 22), Chicago Bears (Dec. 28) and Seattle Seahawks (Jan. 4).
Bryce Cabeldue – Seattle Seahawks
After being drafted in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the Seattle Seahawks, Bryce Cabeldue has seen playing time in five games in his rookie season, playing a total of 24 snaps. The Seahawks are atop the NFC entering week 16 with games against the Los Angeles Rams (Dec. 18), Carolina Panthers (Dec. 28) and San Francisco 49ers (Jan. 4) left on the schedule.
