LAWRENCE, Kan. – Nahyeong Cho of Osan, South Korea, has signed to play tennis at Kansas for the 2026 spring season, KU head coach
Todd Chapman announced. Cho will be a freshman for the Jayhawks in 2026.
"We are extremely excited to have Nahyeong joining our Kansas Tennis family in January," Kansas head coach Todd Chapman said. "Nahyeong is a high level player that we believe will make an immediate impact on the team and our lineup. We are excited to get to work with Nahyeong in a few weeks and welcome her into our program."
Cho has been ranked as high as No. 180 in the junior ITF world rankings, and was rated as high as 9.98 by the Universal Tennis Rating.
The KU spring season will begin in January, as Kansas will host the Jayhawk Invitational between January 15-17 at the Jayhawk Tennis Center. The Jayhawks will then host several teams in back-to-back matches, including Creighton, Kansas City, Nebraska, and Clemson. For the complete 2025-26 Kansas tennis schedule, click here.
