LAWRENCE, Kan. – Lilly Meister has signed to join the Kansas women's basketball program for the 2025-26 season, head coach
Brandon Schneider announced Monday. Meister will be a senior and comes to KU after playing her first three seasons at Indiana.
"We've had a relationship with Lilly dating back to her initial high school recruiting process," Schneider said. "Her size and skill set will fill a much-needed role in our program. She is a frontline player who will excel in the pick and roll game, while also providing shooting and versatility away from the rim. We believe that she pairs extremely well with both our returners and incoming players. Lilly brings experience competing at the highest level and being part of a winning culture is very important to her."
Meister, a 6-3 forward, has played in 96 games for Indiana over the past three seasons. Last year, she started 17 games for the Hoosiers and averaged a career-best 6.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 51.8 percent from the field. Meister scored in double figures nine times and recorded one double-double, going for 20 points and 15 rebounds against Harvard. She earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the 2023-24 season.
Originally from Rochester, Minnesota, Meister comes to Kansas with career totals of 414 points, 269 rebounds and 52 blocked shots. She scored over 2,000 points at John Marshall HS and was named the Post Bulletin Girls Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. Meister was rated as the No. 87 recruit in the class of 2022 by Collegiate Girls Basketball Report and the No. 86 prospect by All Star Girls Report.
Meister is the first transfer to sign with Kansas for next season and she joins the Jayhawks' highly touted high school recruiting class that is ranked No. 6 in the country by ESPNW.
