LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas cross country unveiled its 2025 schedule on Tuesday highlighted by the season-opening Bob Timmons Classic on August 30 and the hosting of the Big 12 Cross Country Championship at Rim Rock Farm on October 31.
Kansas' cross country schedule features three regular season meets, and three postseason meets, beginning with the Bob Timmons Classic at Rim Rock Farm on August 30. The Jayhawks will then travel to Columbia, Missouri to compete in the Gans Creek Classic on September 26, before completing their regular season at the Pre-National Invitational in Columbia on October 18.
The Jayhawks then return home to host the 2025 Big 12 Cross Country Championship at Rim Rock Farm on October 31. It will be the first time since 2020 that Kansas hosts the Big 12 Championship and the fourth overall.
"We are excited about hosting the Big 12 at Rim Rock this year. We look forward to welcoming the Big 12 and have a terrific home fan base for the championships," Assistant Head Coach of Cross Country Michael Whittlesey said.
Following the Big 12 Championship, the Jayhawks will compete at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma on November 14 for a chance to punch their ticket to the NCAA Cross Country Championships, which will take place on November 22 in Columbia.
