LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas football is represented by a pair of Jayhawks – Dean Miller and Kobe Baynes on the Senior Bowl Top 300 list, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Miller and Baynes are two of 43 Big 12 Conference representatives on the list, while Kansas is one of 86 schools represented.
Miller enters the 2025 season following a breakout junior campaign, in which he was named Second Team All-Big 12 for compiling a career-high 6.0 sacks, which were tied for the sixth most in the Big 12 Conference. Miller started all 12 games at defensive end, adding 32 tackles and 10.0 tackles-for-loss.
Baynes has started 14 games at guard for the Jayhawks over the past two seasons, including 12 in 2024 and three in 2023. The Kansas offensive line paved the way for 211.4 rushing yards per game and allowing just 10 sacks as a unit in 2024.
The Senior Bowl scouting department, comprised entirely of former NFL scouts, has been hard at work since last February, evaluating over 2,000 prospects from all levels of college football. From that extensive and competitive process, the Senior Bowl Top 300 was composed.
The Senior Bowl takes great pride in identifying and showcasing the "Best of the Best." The results speak for themselves: 50% of the players selected in the top three rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft were Senior Bowl participants. In keeping with that high standard, the Senior Bowl made a deliberate decision to be more selective, thus moving away from the 850 players featured on last year's watchlist and narrowing the focus to a more exclusive group of 300.
This list represents more than just a preseason acknowledgment; it is a reflection of the highest standards in college football. Only draft eligible players are featured on this list.
