LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas (12-5, 2-2) concludes its two-game home stand when it plays host to Baylor (11-5, 1-3) on Friday, Jan. 16. Tip from Allen Fieldhouse will be at 7 p.m. (Central) and the game will be televised on FOX.
Kansas and Baylor have won NCAA National Championships this decade with BU in 2021 and KU in 2022.
Kansas is coming off an 84-63 win against No. 2 Iowa State on Jan. 13. The Jayahwks have defeated the No. 2 team in their last five meetings in Allen Fieldhouse. Baylor won its first Big 12 contest with a 94-79 win at Oklahoma State on Jan. 13.
Kansas leads the all-time series with Baylor, 36-11, including a 20-1 record in games played in Lawrence, all in Allen Fieldhouse. Baylor has won the last two meetings, with both clashes in Waco, Texas.
Following its win against Iowa State, Kansas is 137-24 (85.1%) following a loss in the
Bill Self era (2003-04 to present), including 5-0 this season.

Melvin Council Jr. is averaging 16.0 points in Big 12 play and 13.6 points per game on the season. He was named the Big 12 and national player of the week after his career-high 36 points at NC State (12/3), which included nine threes made, the second most in KU history. Council leads KU with 83 assists and has 14 steals. Council's 3.6 assist-to-turnover ratio is fourth in the Big 12 and 27th nationally.

Bryson Tiller (8.2 ppg) is second on the team with 23 blocked shots. Tiller pulls down 5.6 rebounds per game and has started the last 14 games for Kansas.
