LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas freshman swimmer
Ivy Solt has been named the Big 12 Women's Newcomer of the Week for the second time in her debut season with the Jayhawks.
"Ivy and her freshman teammates have made a big impact in their first year," said head coach
Clark Campbell. "Ivy has been consistent and attacked the season from day one, and she's reaping the rewards. The cool part is that the entire team shares that mindset. We can't wait to see what this group can do as we head into championship season."
Solt recorded top three finishes in all of her events during Kansas' historic victory over Arkansas. She placed third in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:10.44), second in the 500-yard freestyle (4:54.90), and anchored the winning 400-yard freestyle relay. Her performances helped secure the Jayhawks' 163–137 win.
