LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas Tennis will follow up its run at the ITA Central Region Championships and face a quick-turnaround as the Jayhawks head to Waco, Texas, to compete in the H-E-B Invitational, Oct. 29-Nov. 1.
The invitational features 10 tennis programs from across the country, including teams from the Big 12, ACC, SEC, Big Ten and other conferences.
Kansas will have six players competing in the invitational, Hyejeong Ahn, Yerkezhan Arystanbekova, Simryn Jacob, Polina Koneva, Caroline Manzi, and Anna Putilina.Â
At last year's H-E-B Invitational, the Jayhawks saw strong performances across multiple flights, including Arystanbekova advancing to the Green Flight championship match in the East Draw. Jacob returns for her second appearance at the H-E-B Invitational after capturing the Pink Flight title in the West Draw last year. She defeated Rice's Valentina Urraco in the championship match to claim the title.
Follow along with the Jayhawks throughout the weekend on Instagram and X.
