LAWRENCE, Kan. – Daniela Darta Feldmane of Riga, Latvia, has signed to play tennis at Kansas for the 2026-27 season, KU head coach
Todd Chapman announced today.Â
"We are really pleased to add Darta to our Kansas Tennis family," Chapman said. "Darta brings with her a lot of international experience and a drive and desire to develop and get better. On her visit to Kansas she fit it in really well with the team and we envision Darta coming in and contributing to our lineup right away."
Feldmane has a WTA professional ranking of 1274, and was rated as high as 9.92 by the Universal Tennis Rating.Â
"The University of Kansas felt more than just a team – from friendly teammates, supportive coaches, and positive energy from everyone surrounding the program that pushes everyone to be better," Feldmane said. "I am excited to get to Lawrence and get to work in the fall."
Kansas will travel to Arizona for a pair of matches next weekend, starting with a dual against Arizona State on Friday, March 27 in Tempe, Arizona.
