LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas women's tennis junior
Kyoka Kubo was named the ITA Central Regional Most Improved Player for the 2026 season, the ITA announced today.Â
Kubo led Kansas this season in wins in both singles and doubles, winning 12 singles matches and 13 doubles matches. She finished the season No. 74 in the ITA singles rankings.Â
Following the season, she was named to the All-Big 12 First Team, and was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team as well. In the fall season, Kubo advanced to the NCAA Singles Championship quarterfinal round, which gave her All-American honors for the first time in her career.
