Kansas, Big 12 Reveal Conference Baseball Schedule

IRVING, Texas – Fresh off a Big 12 regular season championship and a Big 12 Tournament title, Kansas Baseball and the Big 12 Conference announced the 2027 league schedule on Thursday. For a fourth straight season, the Big 12 schedule features 30 games, with 15 at Hoglund Ballpark and 15 on the road.
"We are looking forward to another tough Big 12 schedule," back-to-back Big 12 Coach of the Year Dan Fitzgerald said. "The Big 12 is so deep and every weekend is a chance to challenge yourself against the best."
Kansas will play Arizona State, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State and Kansas State in Lawrence this upcoming season. The Jayhawks will travel to West Virginia, Baylor, UCF, Utah and Arizona.
League play will begin with a series against Arizona State at Hoglund Ballpark from March 19-21 and finish on the road at Arizona from May 20-22. The Big 12 Tournament will remain in Surprise, Arizona, at Surprise Stadium in 2027 and be played from May 25-29.
The other part of the 2027 schedule that has been revealed is that Kansas will participate in the Frisco Classic against Southern Mississippi, Oklahoma and UC Irvine from March 5-7. The remainder of the non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
"We are excited to compete in the Frisco Classic," Fitzgerald said. "UC Irvine, Southern Miss, and OU are three of the elite programs in the country and will give us a great opportunity to compete."
Kansas was the only Division I team in the country to finish the 2026 season with at least 45 overall wins, 20 conference wins and 20 road wins. The Jayhawks posted a 45-18 overall record and a 22-8 mark in Big 12 play during the regular season to claim the school's first regular season conference championship since 1949 as a member of the Big Seven, and only the fourth in school history.
KU was one of two teams nationally to win its conference's regular season title outright, conference tournament title and advance to a Super Regional. Kansas qualified for a second consecutive NCAA Tournament for only the second time in program history and hosted the first ever Lawrence Regional and Lawrence Super Regional.
It will be the 137th season of baseball at the University of Kansas in 2027.
