LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas volleyball will open the 2026 season this weekend as the Jayhawks travel to Pittsburgh for the second annual Opening Spike Classic.

Castans Named to Hermann Trophy Watch List

Kansas soccer defender Caroline Castans was named to the 2026 Women's Hermann Trophy Watch List, the United Soccer Coaches announced Wednesday. It is the second straight season that Castans has been named to the preseason watchlist.

Kansas soccer remained in the top 20 in both national rankings this week, coming in at No. 17 in the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC) poll and No. 14 in the TopDrawerSoccer poll.

Kansas senior linebacker Trey Lathan was named to the Chuck Bednarik Award Preseason Watch List, the Maxwell Football Club announced on Friday. The Bednarik Award is presented annually to the most outstanding defensive player in college football.

No. 12 Kansas Strikes Late to Defeat Kent State 3-1

No. 12 Kansas scored a flurry of goals late in the 3-1 win over Kent State on Sunday afternoon at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium in Kent, Ohio. Jillian Gregorski scored two goals for the Jayhawks, with Caroline Castans adding another goal.
