Kansas Women’s Basketball improved to 6-0 on the season Wednesday Night, defeating Texas A&M 74-42 at Allen Fieldhouse for the Jayhawks' first time since 2003. The margin of victory is the largest for KU against Texas A&M and the Jayhawks snap an 11-game losing streak to the Aggies.
On the day where she scored her 1,000th career point, senior guard Zakiyah Franklin produced a season-best 21 points to pace the Kansas Women’s Basketball team in a decisive, 76-49 victory over Maine in the opening game of the Saint Mary’s Thanksgiving Classic.
After starting off the season with three home games, Kansas Women’s Basketball is headed to the Bay Area of California for two games at the Saint Mary’s Thanksgiving Classic. The tournament will be played at University Credit Union Pavilion, on the campus of Saint Mary’s.
