Kansas swimming and diving had a lot of record-breaking performances coming from the breaststroke, butterfly and individual medley swimmers in 2019-20. The team was led by sophomore Kate Steward who was named Big 12 Champion in two events to go along with her two broken school records.
Kansas swimming and diving's 2019-20 season was filled with strong performances all around. The freestyle and backstroke swimmers were led by seniors Elizabeth Amato-Hanner, Jenny Nusbaum and Carly Straight who set the tone for the year.
Freshman Jiayu Chen has qualified to compete at the NCAA Championships for the second straight day after finishing fifth overall in the 3-meter dive event at the NCAA Zone D Championships in Dallas, Texas. Chen compiled a 647.10 total score on the day.
