The Kansas Jayhawks defeated the visiting Iowa State Cyclones by a score of 174-126 on Saturday, with the Jayhawks winning the first three events of the morning.

🏊‍♀️ Kansas Leads Iowa State After Day One of the Dual

Kansas claimed first in six of the eight events swam on Friday night, including a sweep in the 50 freestyle. Kansas leads by a score of 90-60 heading into day two on Saturday.

Kansas hosts Iowa State for its final home dual meet of the season on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 3-4) at the Robinson Natatorium. Friday’s action will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a 9 a.m. start time on Saturday.

Sophomore Lezli Sisung earned the Big 12 Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday. She shared the award with Abby Reardon from West Virginia.

Kansas fell to Arkansas by a score of 181-112 on Saturday at Arkansas Natatorium. The swimmers competed in 14 events while the divers competed in the platform dive.

🏊‍♀️ Jayhawks Wrap up Friday Night in Arkansas

Kansas matched up with Arkansas Friday night, competing in non-scored swimming events and scored diving events. The Jayhawks will take on the Razorbacks on Saturday at 10 a.m. in scored events.

The Kansas swimming & diving team looks to continue its strong 2022-23 campaign against Arkansas in their first meet of 2023 on January 20-21. Friday’s action will begin at 5 p.m. and will consist of non-scored swimming events and scored diving events. Saturday will start at 10 a.m. will consist of scored swimming and diving events.

Kansas Student-Athletes Excel Academically in Fall 2022 Semester

Kansas Athletics student-athletes had a banner fall semester in the classroom, recording a combined department grade point average of 3.33, establishing a new non-COVID era record.

🏊‍♀️ Bravence Wins Courtwright Award for Undergraduate Research Excellence

Senior captain Mackenzie Bravence, who is researching vocalizations in children with autism spectrum disorder, was recently named the recipient of the Courtwright Award for Undergraduate Research Excellence through KU’s Center for Undergraduate Research.

🏊‍♀️ Jayhawks Wrap up Kansas Classic

The final day of the Kansas Classic wrapped up on Sunday at the Capitol Federal Natatorium. Kansas finished the meet in second place with 907 points, finishing ahead of Indiana State (799), Northern Iowa (432) and Little Rock(264), and 46 points behind Iowa State (753) for the top spot.

After the second day of the Kansas Classic at Capitol Federal Natatorium, the Jayhawks find themselves in first place. Kansas is leading Iowa State, Little Rock, Indiana State and Northern Iowa in the team standings heading into day three.
