Sarah Wettemann joined the Kansas Athletics staff in July 2026. She is the primary contact for the volleyball, swim and dive and softball programs, while also assisting with the communications efforts for the entire athletic department.

Wettemann came to Lawrence following a three-year stint as an Associate Director of Digital Media and Communications at the University of Denver where she served as the primary communications contact for the volleyball, women's basketball, women's lacrosse and men's and women's golf programs and assisted with hockey. During her time with Denver, the Pioneers advanced to three Frozen Fours and won national championships in 2024 and 2026 and won three-consecutive Big East Women's Lacrosse Tournament titles.

Prior to Denver, Wettemann worked for Colorado College, overseeing social media strategy for the entire athletic department and communications efforts for men's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball and men's and women's lacrosse.

Wettemann also spent two years in the sports information department at Oklahoma State University as a student assistant.

A native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Wettemann graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports media and a minor in Spanish from Oklahoma State University in May 2022.
