Bio

Stephanie Mahal started at Kansas Athletics in 2013 and serves as an Assistant Athletics Director. Her main responsibility is to assist Ryan King with supporting Student Athlete Support Services, serve as the Director of Learning Services while also overseeing the academic success of the Jayhawk women’s golf program.

Before coming to KU, Mahal was an academic advisor at the University of New Mexico and provided academic support at the University of Nevada.

Mahal was born in Minneapolis, MN and attended the University of Kansas and was a member of the soccer team in the fall of 1998 and then joined the rowing team for remainder of her career. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from KU, a master’s degree from University of Nevada, and earned her doctorate in special education from KU.

Mahal is a member of N4A and The Women Leaders in College Sports.
