Dillons Sunflower Showdown Kickoff Set for 7 p.m. on ESPN2

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The 122nd edition of the Dillons Sunflower Showdown between Kansas and Kansas State will be played on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. CT, with the game televised on ESPN2, the Big 12 announced Sunday.

The series with Kansas State is the most played rivalry in Kansas football history, with the Jayhawks holding an all-time advantage of 65-51-5 over the Wildcats. The 2024 contest will be the 60th played in Manhattan, where the series is tied 28-28-3.

This will be Kansas' third appearance on ESPN2 this season, previously playing at West Virginia and at Arizona State on ESPN2. Kansas is 3-5 under the direction of head coach Lance Leipold when playing on ESPN2.

Kansas (2-5, 1-3 Big 12) enters the Dillons Sunflower Showdown on the strength of a 42-14 victory over Houston on Saturday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas State improved to 6-1 on the year and 3-1 in Big 12 play with a 45-18 victory at West Virginia on Saturday evening.
