Kansas Athletics to Host Big 12 Fall Tour Celebration Oct. 22-24

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Athletics and the Big 12 Conference are proud to announce that Lawrence will serve as one of the host sites for the 2026 Big 12 Fall Tour on October 22-24.
The three-day celebration will spotlight the University of Kansas, its student-athletes and the Lawrence community, while highlighting the partnership between Kansas Athletics and the Big 12 Conference. The celebration will coincide with the University of Kansas' 114th homecoming presented by Central Bank as Kansas hosts the Baylor Bears to David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium on Oct. 24.
Highlights of the Big 12 Fall Tour will include:
Community Ribbon Cutting (Thursday, Oct. 22): In partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation's annual Extra Yards for Teachers Program, the Big 12 funded the makeover of a space for a local school community project.
Allstate Empowerment Luncheon (Friday, Oct. 23): On Friday, the University of Kansas will host a leadership luncheon at the University of Kansas Alumni Welcome Center. Panelists include Kathy Nelson, President and CEO of Visit KC and the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission and Foundation, Elizabeth Brady, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing, Customer and Communications Officer of Allstate and Elyce Arons, Co-Founder and CEO of Frances Valentine and Co-founder of Kate Spade. On-campus faculty, staff and students will be able to RSVP for the event in late September.
Big 12 Tailgate (Saturday, Oct. 24): Prior to Kansas' homecoming matchup with Baylor, the Big 12 Conference will host a special tailgate on the hill, opening three hours prior to kickoff. The tailgate will include a special performance from the Jack Wharff Band. Rally towels will be given away to students at the south end student section prior to the game.
Additional on-campus Homecoming activities can be viewed here, including details for the return of the Homecoming parade, due to take place on October 23rd at 6 PM. Homecoming activities will conclude on Sunday with the Blue Blood Classic as Kansas Men's Basketball hosts Duke in an exhibition contest.
In addition to the Big 12 Fall Campus Tour, Kansas Athletics announced several promotions throughout the 2026 Kansas football schedule.

Middle Tennessee (Oct. 3): Family Weekend
Baylor (Oct. 24): Homecoming, Breast Cancer Awareness, Youth Sports Day
UCF (Nov. 7): Salute to Service, Beak the Stigma
BYU (Nov. 21): Senior Day, Educator Appreciation Day
