LAWRENCE, Kan. – No. 1 Kansas (3-0) will host Oakland (1-2) on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Allen Fieldhouse. The contest will start at 5 p.m. CT and will be televised on ESPN+.

Kansas is coming off a 77-69 win against Michigan State on Nov. 12 in the State Farm Champions Classic in Atlanta. Oakland is looking to end a two-game losing streak after its 66-54 loss at Illinois on Nov. 13.

With the Nov. 12 win against Michigan State, Kansas head coach Bill Self passed Phog Allen as the winningest coach in KU history. Self is 591-143 in his 22nd season at KU. Phog Allen was 590-129 in 36 seasons on the KU sidelines.

The Kansas-Oakland series dates back to 2009 and KU is 2-0 all-time against Oakland. KU defeated Oakland, 89-59, on Nov. 25, 2009, in Allen Fieldhouse in a KU home contest for the Hall of Fame Classic. Kansas defeated Oakland, 102-59, on Nov. 24, 2017, in Allen Fieldhouse in a KU home contest for the Hoophall Miami Invitational.
Kansas has shown depth through its first two outings as the bench is averaging 34.0 points per game, which is the highest bench points average in the Bill Self era (2003-04 to present).

Graduate C Hunter Dickinson, the Big 12 Player of the Week of Nov. 11, is coming off his second-straight double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds against Michigan State (11/12). The All-America candidate leads Kansas in points per game at 21.3 ppg, which is third in the Big 12, and rebounding at 9.3 rpg, which is fourth in the conference. Dickinson also leads KU with four blocked shots and six steals.
Senior G Zeke Mayo is next in scoring at 15.3 points per game and he has made a team-high eight three pointers. Mayo garnered his first Big 12 weekly award in a Jayhawk uniform after being named co-Newcomer of the Week on Nov. 11. Mayo pulls down 6.3 rebounds per contest. Senior F KJ Adams is a starter who averages 9.3 points, while graduate G Dajuan Harris scores 9.0 points per game and leads KU with 14 assists. Freshman F Flory Bidunga is also scoring 9.0 points per game and is 12-for-15 (80.0%) from the field.
Junior G AJ Storr (8.0 ppg), junior G Rylan Griffen (7.0 ppg, five threes), senior G David Coit (3.7 ppg, seven assists) and redshirt-junior F Zach Clemence (2.5 ppg) round out the KU regulars.
