Get to Know David ...
What's the significance behind your jersey number?
- Kobe Bryant was always my favorite player growing up and I look at the number 8 similar to the infinity sign, and that’s how long I want my impact or legacy to live.
Who or what inspired you to start playing basketball growing up?
- Myles Powell was probably my biggest influence growing up, basketball wise. Watching him have a great career at Seton Hall and he lived 15 minutes away from me. His impact on me was huge because he made me feel like I could play this game at a high level regardless of my size.
Do you have any pregame superstitions or routines?
- I just make sure I get up and pray, get some shots up and get off my feet.
Tell us about your favorite basketball moment as a player or fan.
