LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawks are 4-0 and headed to the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to face the Iowa Hawkeyes on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network with Kylen Mills (play-by-play) and Brenda VanLengen (analyst) on the call. Fans can also listen to the game on the Jayhawk Radio Network from Learfield, with Steven Davis calling the action.

The Jayhawks head away from home for the first time this season with a 4-0 record following wins over Lindenwood, Sam Houston, Omaha and North Alabama by an average of 16.0 points per game. Kansas is now 4-0 for the third time in the past four seasons and the sixth time under head coach
Brandon Schneider.

Kansas improved to 4-0 with an 81-64 victory over North Alabama on Sunday at Allen Fieldhouse. The win was KU's 31st consecutive home win over a non-conference opponent and the 25th win at home in the past 26 games.

The Jayhawks were led by 21 points from
Elle Evans and 20 from
S'Mya Nichols, who led KU in scoring in each of the first three games. Evans had her best game as a Jayhawks, hitting 8-of-18 field goals, including three three-pointers, while adding seven rebounds in the game. Nichols topped the 20-point mark for the second time this season and she remains Kansas' leading scorer at 18.0 points per game for the year.

A Preseason All-Big 12 selection, Nichols has picked right up where she left off in her decorated freshman campaign, scoring at least 16 points in each of KU's first four games. Nichols is the No. 7 scorer in the Big 12, averaging 18.0 points per game, while leading the conference in both free throws made (25) and attempted (33). She also leads the Jayhawks with 5.5 assists per game.

Wyvette Mayberry made her season debut against North Alabama, scoring nine points on 4-for-5 shooting while recording one assist and one rebound in just 10 minutes of action. Mayberry averaged 9.7 points and 2.4 assists per game for the Jayhawks a year ago.

Through four games, Kansas has the top three-point percentage defense in the Big 12 and ranks No. 18 nationally. The Jayhawks are holding opponents to just 20.0 percent (13-65) shooting from long range this season.

Kansas finished with a season-low six turnovers against UNA, which ties for No. 4 in school history for fewest turnovers in a single game. The school record is five turnovers, which has been accomplished three times, most recently last season vs. Oklahoma State on Jan. 13, 2024.

Iowa, the reigning national runner-up, is also headed to Sioux Falls with a 4-0 record. The Hawkeyes are receiving votes in the national polls this week following victories over Northern Illinois, Virginia Tech, Toledo and Drake to open the season.

Kansas and Iowa have met six times in series history, dating back to 1988. Kansas leads the all-time series 4-2, including wins in each of the past two meetings. The most recent matchup was a 66-55 Kansas victory on Nov. 18, 2019, in Iowa City.
