LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas football will travel to McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas to face Baylor on Saturday, Nov. 30, in the final game of the regular season. That game will kick off at 11 a.m. CT and be televised on ESPN2, the Big 12 announced Sunday.
Â
Kansas is now 5-6 (4-4 Big 12) on the year following a 37-16 win over No. 16 Colorado on Saturday, it's school record third-straight win over an Associated Press Top 25 ranked opponent. The Jayhawks have also defeated No. 17 Iowa State, 45-36, and No. 7 BYU, 17-13, in the three-game win streak. Kansas now needs a victory over Baylor in the season finale to qualify for a bowl game in a third-straight season, a feat that has not previously happened in Kansas football history.
Â
The game will be the 23rd all-time meeting between Kansas and Baylor in a series that dates back to 1971, with the last 19 meetings taking place with both teams as Big 12 Conference foes. Baylor leads the all-time series 18-4, including 13 consecutive victories dating back 2007. KU's last win over the ears was a 58-10 victory in Lawrence on Oct. 13, 2007. Kansas has never defeated Baylor in Waco, where the Jayhawks are 0-11 all-time. Kansas and Baylor did not meet last season, breaking a stretch of 13 consecutive seasons in which the two teams played.
Â
For Kansas, this will be the fourth appearance on ESPN2 this season, with all four coming on the road. The Jayhawks previously played at West Virginia, at Arizona State and at Kansas State on the network. This will also be the second 11 a.m. CT kickoff of the season for Kansas, joining the West Virginia game.
Â
Baylor improved to 7-4 on the year and 5-3 in Big 12 with a 20-10 victory at Houston on Saturday. The Bears have won each of their last five games, which is the longest current winning streak in the Big 12.
