
LAWRENCE, Kan. — No. 9/10 Kansas (12-4, 3-2 Big 12) returns to Allen Fieldhouse to host Dillons Sunflower Showdown foe Kansas State (7-9, 1-4 Big 12) on Saturday, Jan. 18. The contest will start at 12 p.m. CT and be televised on CBS.

Monday, January 20th is National Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Kansas will be honoring Dr. King during the Kansas-Kansas State contest. KU will be wearing MLK warmup shirts and there will be in-game recognitions throughout the contest.Â

The Jayhawks are coming off a 74-57 loss at No. 2 Iowa State on Jan. 15. Kansas State is looking to end a four-game losing streak after its 61-57 loss to Texas Tech on Jan. 14.

Kansas leads the overall series with Kansas State, 202-96, including a 53-18 record in Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas' 202 wins against K-State are the most of any one team against another in NCAA history.
