LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women's tennis head coach
Todd Chapman announced the team's 2026 spring schedule on Tuesday. The Jayhawks will host 13 home duals and travel to nine away duals.
Kansas will start by hosting the Jayhawk Invitational between Jan. 15-17 at the Jayhawk Tennis Center in Lawrence.Â
The Jayhawks will host six non-conference matches against Creighton (Jan. 24), UMKC (Jan. 24), Nebraska (Jan. 30), Clemson (Feb. 1), Minnesota (Feb. 20), and Old Dominion (Feb. 22).
Kansas will travel for three non-conference duals, facing off at Wichita State (Feb. 8), Wisconsin (Feb. 14), and Arkansas (Feb. 15).
KU hosts seven Big 12 conference duals during the season, with matches against Texas Tech (Feb. 27), Colorado (March 1), Iowa State (March 7), Houston (March 20), UCF (March 22), West Virginia (April 3), and Cincinnati (April 5).
The Jayhawks go on the road for six Big 12 matches, going to TCU (March 13), Baylor (March 15), Arizona State (March 27), Arizona (March 29), Oklahoma State (April 10), and Kansas State (April 12).
The Big 12 Tournament will be hosted by UCF in Orlando, Florida, April 15-18.Â
The Jayhawks bring back a roster that features Kyoka Kubo, who is ranked No. 103 in the ITA Preseason Singles rankings, and Heike Janse van Vuuren, who is ranked No. 20 in the ITA Preseason Doubles rankings with partner Kubo. Kansas also brings in the No. 85 doubles pair of Meg McCarty and Sandugash Kenzhibayeva.
Kansas finished the 2024-25 season at 14-12 with a 9-5 record in matches played at home and is expecting to return to their winning ways in 2026 as the Jayhawks have appeared in the NCAA Tournament seven times since 2016.
