LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Kansas Football head coach Lance Leipold announced the addition of 17 high school players who signed with the Jayhawks on the first day of the early signing period on Wednesday.

Kansas' signing class includes Kory Amachree (Haslett, Mich.), Trey Brown (Chatsworth, Calif.), Nakwaine Carter (Oklahoma City, Okla.), Joseph Credit (Pearland, Texas), Josh Galbreath (Lawrence, Kan.), Corbin Glasco (Denton, Texas), Hunter Higgins (Wichita, Kan.), Jaylen Mason (Wichita, Kan.), Malachi Mills (Carmel, Ind.), Kaden Moody (Broken Arrow, Okla.), Tyren Parker (Topeka, Kan.), Draeden Punt (Orange City, Iowa), Robert Reddick (Indianapolis, Ind.), Nate Sims (Ottawa, Kan.), Kaden Snyder (Salina, Kan.), Kevin Sullivan (Kansas City, Mo.) and Jack Utz (Kansas City, Mo.).

Kansas' signees hail from eight different states, including six players from Kansas, two players from Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas and one player from California, Iowa and Michigan. The six signees from the state of Kansas are the most in a KU signing class since 2018, while it is the highest-rated in-state signing class in more than 10 years.

Among Kansas' signees, 10 are on the offensive side of the ball while seven are on the defensive side. Kansas' highest targeted positions were offensive line and wide receivers (3), while the Jayhawks added two cornerbacks, linebackers and tight ends and one quarterback and running back.
