CARY, N.C. – Kansas All-American
Brady Ballinger earned an invitation to the 2025 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp, the organization announced today.
Â
Ballinger is one of 56 college players receiving an invite to participate in training camp, which features the premier non-draft-eligible collegiate players in the country. Kansas has had a player invited to training camp for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team in each summer under 2025 Big 12 Coach of the Year
Dan Fitzgerald, with
Dominic Voegele participating in 2024 and
Kodey Shojinaga in 2023.
Â
Already labeled an All-American by ABCA/Rawlings, NCBWA and Perfect Game, Ballinger was named a Third Team All-American by D1Baseball on Thursday.
Â
An All-Big 12 First Team selection and ABCA All-Region First Team honoree, Ballinger's first season at Kansas ended with him leading the team in batting average (.353), walks (56), OPS (1.165), runs scored (71), hits (79), doubles (21), total bases (150), multi-hit games (24) and multi-walk games (16).Â
Â
Those marks cemented Ballinger in the record books as his 71 runs were second most in school history, his 56 walks tied for second in program history and his 150 total bases were the sixth most ever in a season by a Jayhawk.
A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ballinger ended the regular season first in the Big 12 in walks, tied for first in runs scored and doubles and second in on-base percentage, slugging percentage and total bases. Ballinger's first season as a Jayhawk ended with 16 home runs, which tied for the fifth most in school history.
