LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas soccer continues to climb in the national rankings, moving up five spots to sit at No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches poll this week.
In addition to the United Soccer Coaches ranking, the Jayhawks have earned a No. 9 national ranking from TopDrawerSoccer and KU currently sits at No. 12 in the RPI this week.
The No. 14 ranking by the United Soccer Coaches is the highest ranking for the Jayhawks since Oct. 20, 2020, when KU was ranked No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches poll. Kansas has now been in the rankings for four consecutive weeks after starting the season outside the top 25.
The Jayhawks remain unbeaten this season at 7-0-2 and 1-0 in conference play after defeating Oklahoma State in the conference opener on Sept. 18. The nine-match unbeaten streak is the longest to start a season in school history. Dating back to last season, Kansas is 15-1-3 in its last 19 games, including 11-0-3 in its last 14 regular season games. The Jayhawks have not lost a regular season game since Oct. 5, 2024 vs. Oklahoma State.
Second-year head coach Nate Lie won his 100th career game on Sept. 7, as the Jayhawks defeated Yale 4-0. Kansas played to a 1-1 draw against then-No. 2 Florida State on Aug. 28, which was the first result in school history against a top two ranked opponent.
Kansas will play their first conference home matches of the season this week, hosting Baylor on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m. CT before welcoming No. 10 TCU to Rock Chalk Park Sunday, Sept. 28 at 12 p.m. CT.
