LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas sophomore Arthur Carlier has been named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month, the conference announced Thursday.
Carlier is coming off an impressive start to his sophomore campaign, grabbing three top 20 finishes through the first three events of the season. He claimed his first collegiate win at the NY Harbor Cup, the first tournament of the season, and followed that performance with a tie for 12th at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, and a tie for eighth at the Windon Memorial Classic.
"Arthur has really started out well this year," Kansas coach Jamie Bermel said. "He has played great the first three events and has helped the team immensely. He has only shot over par in one out of his first nine rounds."
Carlier has played a major part in Kansas' season so far, competing in all three events and helping the Jayhawks win two out of their first three tournaments for the first time since the 2021-22 season. Carlier has recorded a stroke average of 68.8 through nine rounds and recorded eight rounds under-par.
Carlier is the 12th Jayhawk to win the award, and ninth golfer under coach Bermel. The last Jayhawk to earn this honor was Carlier's former teammate Luke Honner, who earned Big 12 Golfer of the Week on April 22, 2026.
"This is an awesome recognition and award for a great kid, both on and off the golf course," Bermel added.
Carlier and the rest of the Jayhawks will continue their season in Salt Lake City, Utah to compete in the Big 12 Match Play from October 11-14 at Salt Lake Country Club.
