DALLAS – Kansas baseball redshirt junior pitcher
Boede Rahe earned a spot on the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List, the association announced Tuesday. The award is given annually to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball.

Rahe is entering his first season at Kansas following three years at Kirkwood Community College. After missing his freshman season with an injury, Rahe was an All-ICCAC First Team selection in 2024 and 2025.

In his career at Kirkwood, Rahe posted a 7-4 record with a 2.83 ERA in 92.1 innings pitched, including five complete games, with 38 walks, 132 strikeouts and a 1.09 WHIP in 24 career appearances (15 starts). He helped Kirkwood become ICCAC Conference Champions in 2024.

Rahe is one of 104 players that was named to the initial watch list.

Kansas will look to build on its historic 2025 season later this week as the Jayhawks begin the season on Friday, Feb. 13 at UTRGV in Edinburg, Texas.
