LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawks return home to Allen Fieldhouse, where they have won two-straight games, on Saturday, Feb. 14, to host the Houston Cougars in a Big 12 Conference matchup.

Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+, with Josh Klingler (play-by-play) and
Wayne Simien (analyst) on the call. Fans can also listen on the Jayhawk Radio Network from Learfield, with Steven Davis and David Lawrence calling the action.

Kansas (15-11, 5-9 Big 12) is coming off a 70-65 defeat at No. 16 Texas Tech on Tuesday night in Lubbock. The loss is KU's fourth against a ranked opponent this season, and the third to come by five points or fewer. Despite being four games under .500 in conference play, the Jayhawks have a positive scoring margin of +1.1 points per game in league play.

The Jayhawks previously picked up consecutive home wins over BYU (81-60) on Feb. 4 and Cincinnati (80-71) on Feb. 7, improving to 10-4 at Allen Fieldhouse this season. Kansas is currently ranked No. 49 in the NET Rankings, which ranks ninth among Big 12 schools, with four games remaining in the regular season.

S'Mya Nichols scored a team-high 15 points at Texas Tech, while three other players scored in double figures. Freshman forward

Regan Williams added 10 points and a team-high six rebounds. Kansas is now 4-2 this season when at least four players score in double figures.

Nichols, the No. 4 scorer in the Big 12 at 17.8 points per game, climbed two spots on KU's all-time scoring list during the Texas Tech game. With 15 points, Nichols passed Angie Snider (1982-84) and Chelsea Gardner (2012-15) to move up to No. 13 with 1,529 career points at KU. Nichols was 9-for-9 from the free throw line in the game and moved into the Top 10 in Big 12 history with 560 career free throws made.

Davis was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week for the sixth straight week on Monday, matching the conference record held by Ayoka Lee of Kansas State from the 2019-20 season. Davis, a McDonald's All-American and KU's highest-ranked recruit under coach
Brandon Schneider, is the only freshman in the nation with four or more games of 28+ points in conference play. She is averaging 22.2 points per game in league play, ranking second in the conference, while leading the Big 12 in field goal percentage by shooting 64.2 percent from the field.

Evans knocked down 3-of-6 three-pointers at Tech, marking her fourth straight game and 19th this season with multiple threes made. Evans continues to lead the nation in three-point accuracy, hitting 49.6 percent (59-119) from long range this season. She is also on the cusp of entering the top 10 in program history for career 3FG made, needing one more to tie Shannon Kite (1990-93) for 10th with 129.

Williams scored in double figures for the eighth time this season and third time in conference play with 10 points at Texas Tech. Williams is now averaging 8.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 51.1 percent (70-137) from the field.

Kansas returns home to face a Houston team that is 7-17 (1-12 Big 12) in their first year under head coach Matthew Mitchell. The Jayhawks have an 8-0 record all-time against Houston in a series dating back to 1991. KU is 3-0 against the Cougars at Allen Fieldhouse and 2-0 vs. UH since they joined the Big 12 in 2023-24.
