LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women's tennis will look to get back on track this weekend, as the Jayhawks return home to face No. 53 Minnesota on Friday, February 20 at 5 p.m. CT and Old Dominion on Sunday, February 22 at 12 p.m. CT, at the Jayhawk Tennis Center. Admission to the center is free.
The Jayhawks come into the match with a 3-4 record after falling to Wisconsin on February 14 and Arkansas on February 15 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Minnesota comes into the weekend with a 7-2 record after defeating Drake 6-1 on February 15. Old Dominion is 1-3 on the season and is coming off a 2-5 loss to Ole Miss on February 14.
Kansas features multiple ranked players in this weeks' ITA rankings. Kyoka Kubo is ranked at No. 36 in singles after starting the season 5-2. Kubo joins Heike Janse van Vuuren in the doubles rankings, as they are ranked No. 72. The duo is 4-1 on the season.Â
The Jayhawks also boast multiple positive records, as Meg McCarty is currently 3-1 in singles play, and van Vuuren sits at 3-2 in singles.
