LAWRENCE, Kan. – Four Kansas Jayhawks have been named to the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, as
Laia Conesa,
Sania Copeland,
Elle Evans and
Lilly Meister received the recognition.
Â
The Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances on the court and in the classroom. The selection process is through College Sports Communicators (CSC), which is a national association for strategic, creative and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada.
Â
Conesa, Copeland and Evans are repeat selections to the team, while Meister earns her first Academic All-District honor.
Â
Conesa has played in all 34 games this season, making four starts, and she's averaging 3.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. The junior from Barcelona, Spain, is in her third season with the Jayhawks, and she's coming off back-to-back games with 10+ rebounds, including a career-high 12 boards on March 19 vs. Troy in the WBIT opening round. Conesa holds a 3.56 grade points average at Kansas, while majoring in Pre-Business.Â
Â
Copeland has started 19 games in the backcourt for Kansas and routinely draws the assignment of guarding the opponent's top perimeter player. A senior from Kansas City, Kansas, Copeland has played two seasons at KU, including averaging 2.9 points and 1.3 assists per game, while ranking third on the team with 27 steals. Copeland has a 4.0 grade point average with a major of Liberal Arts and Studies.
Â
Evans is an elite three-point shooter and ranks among the best in school history following two seasons as a Jayhawk. The senior from Edwardsville, Illinois, ranks third in the nation in three-point shooting this season, hitting 45.9 percent (68-148) from long range. That total ranks second in school history, and Evans remains on pace to set a new school record with her career 3FG percentage of 44.1 percent. She ranks fifth in school history for 3FG made this season (68) and eighth for her career (137). Evans has a 3.65 grade point average throughout her career with a major of Business Administration.
Â
Meister is one of two players who have started all 34 games this season, her first at Kansas after beginning her career at Indiana. From Rochester, Minnesota, Meister ranks fifth on the team with 8.4 points per game while ranking second with 6.4 rebounds per game. She is also tied for the team lead with three double-doubles and has six games of 10+ rebounds, most recently with 10 in KU's WBIT Second Round win over Rice on March 22. Meister holds a 4.0 grade point average at Kansas with a major of Liberal Arts and Studies.
Â
To qualify for the all-district team, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve who has participated in at least 90 percent of the team's games while keeping a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA at her current institution. The players now advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where first, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be voted on and announced later this spring.
Â
Kansas (21-13) returns to action on Thursday, March 26, in the WBIT Quarterfinals. The Jayhawks will host San Diego State with a trip to Wichita, Kansas, for the semifinals on the line.
