LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women's tennis will wrap up its five-match homestand on Saturday, March 7, as the Jayhawks will host Iowa State at 1 p.m. CT at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.Â
Kansas comes into the match with a 5-6 record after sweeping No. 74 Colorado 4-0 on March 1 in its last outing. The win was Kansas' second ranked win of the season.Â
The Jayhawks have two players ranked in this weeks' ITA rankings. Kyoka Kubo is ranked at No. 45 in singles, and currently sits at 5-3 this season. Kubo joins Heike Janse van Vuuren in the doubles rankings, as they are ranked No. 53. The duo is 4-1 on the season.Â
The Jayhawks also boast multiple positive records, as van Vuuren is currently 6-3 in singles play and she has won four of her last five matches, with the lone match going unfinished. Meg McCarty has started the season 4-2 in singles play and is 3-2 in doubles play with her partner van Vuuren.
