SURPRISE, Ariz. – After winning the first Big 12 title in school history, No. 14 Kansas Baseball will begin the 2026 Big 12 Baseball Tournament presented by Allstate on Thursday, May 21 at Surprise Stadium, the spring training facility for the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers. The Jayhawks are the No. 1 seed and will play at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU against either No. 8-seeded Baylor, No. 9-seeded BYU or No. 12-seeded Texas Tech.

Kansas (39-16, 22-8 Big 12) earned the No. 1 seed in the field after winning the league title outright on Friday at BYU. The regular season conference championship for Kansas was the first since 1949 as a member of the Big Seven and the fourth regular season conference championship in school history (1923, 1924, 1949).

KU received a double bye and an automatic spot in the tournament's quarterfinals by finishing with one of the four best records in the conference. On the Kansas side of the bracket is No. 4 UCF, No. 5 Oklahoma State, No. 8 Baylor, No. 9 BYU and No. 12 Texas Tech.

The other side of the bracket is No. 2 West Virginia, No. 3 Arizona State, No. 6 Cincinnati, No. 7 TCU, No. 10 Utah and No. 11 Kansas State. Arizona and Houston did not qualify for the tournament.

The tournament will begin Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m. CT with No. 9-seeded BYU taking on No. 12-seeded Texas Tech, followed by No. 10-seeded Utah squaring off with No. 11-seeded Kansas State at 10 p.m. CT.
