LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Baseball junior shortstop
Tyson LeBlanc has poured in the postseason honors, including most recently a D1Baseball Second Team All-American selection and a College Baseball Foundation All-America Honorable Mention recipient.
LeBlanc received All-America honors from six different outlets. Perfect Game, NCBWA, Baseball America, ABCA/Rawlings, College Baseball Foundation and D1Baseball all selected LeBlanc as an All-American.
A native of Maurice, Louisiana, LeBlanc inserted his named in the Kansas record book by setting a new single-season school record with 25 home runs. He started every game at shortstop in 2026 and finished the year with a .341 batting average, 87 hits, 12 doubles, 69 RBIs, 64 runs, 38 walks and 11 stolen bases this season. LeBlanc had 180 total bases which was the second most in a season in KU history.
LeBlanc finished the 2026 season tied for eighth nationally with 25 home runs, ninth in the nation with 180 total bases, tied for 24th in the country with 69 RBIs and tied for 25th nationally with 87 hits.
An All-Big 12 First Team selection, LeBlanc also won the NCBWA District 6 Co-Player of the Year. He received the Most Outstanding Player for the Lawrence Regional and Big 12 Tournament as well.
Kansas won three championships in 2026, including the Big 12 regular season title, the Big 12 Tournament title and the Lawrence Regional title. The Jayhawks finished the year with a 45-18 overall record to tie the most wins ever in a season. Kansas was the only Division I team in the country to finish the 2026 season with at least 45 overall wins, 20 conference wins and 20 road wins.
