LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Baseball's second game against Oklahoma in the Lawrence Super Regional was suspended in the bottom of the third inning due to weather. The game will be resumed on Monday at 12 p.m. CT on ESPN2. Gates to Hoglund Ballpark will open one hour prior to first pitch and tickets from today's game will be valid for the first game tomorrow.
When the game resumes, Oklahoma leads 8-1 in the bottom of the third inning. Kyle Branch is at the plate for Oklahoma with a 3-1 count and
Boede Rahe is on the mound.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Oklahoma got out to an early lead in the first inning with a run.
• Kansas evened the game in the second inning on a two-out RBI single from
Jordan Bach.
• The Sooners quickly took back the lead in the bottom of the second. They struck for six runs to take a commanding 7-1 lead.
• Another run came in for the Sooners in the third on a Dayton Tockey solo home run.
• Weather moved into the area then and halted play.
If Kansas is able to force an if necessary Game 3, it will start at approximately 4 p.m. CT. The stadium will be cleared following the conclusion of the first game and a separate ticket for Game 3 will be required.
