Kansas Moves to No. 19 in AVCA Poll

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas volleyball rose three spots to No. 19 in the Sept. 21 edition of the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, the organization announced on Monday.

The Jayhawks are winners of 18-straight sets, riding a six-match win streak after a 3-0 week that featured a road win over Wichita State and home wins over Ole Miss and Grand Canyon in the Jayhawk Classic.

Kansas will open conference play this week with a pair of Big 12 matches. The Jayhawks host Houston on Friday, Sept. 25 at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena, with first serve set for 6 p.m. CT, before traveling to Lubbock, Texas for a matchup with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. First serve at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock is set for 1 p.m. CT, and both matches can be seen on ESPN+.
