Full name is Garrett Kenney Luinstra … Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma … Parents are Carolyn and Scott Huffman … Has three sisters – Alexis Luinstra, Jessica Sharpe and Courtney Summers – and one brother, Tim Huffman … His father, Brian Luinstra, was a trainer at Oklahoma State and was one of 10 who perished in the Jan. 27, 2001, men’s basketball plane crash … Father, mother, sister (Courtney) and stepfather are KU graduates … Mother was a cheerleader while at KU … Sister, Alexis, is a cheerleader at Kansas State … Stepfather, Scott Huffman, is in the Kansas Athletics Hall of Fame for track & field having competed in pole vault … Scott Huffman qualified for three World Championships, represented the U.S.A. in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and is known for the pole vault one-legged straddle method called “The Huffman Role” … Pre-business major.
