When did you start playing softball?
- I started playing softball when I was 8 years old.
- My favorite softball memory was beating the #1-ranked team in extra innings at nationals in California last year with my club team (Texas Blaze United).
- I chose KU because I fell in love with the campus as soon as I got there; it felt like home. My teammates created an amazing environment when I came on my visit and made me feel welcome.
High School
In 2022, was named Team MVP and District 25-5A Pitcher of the Year... In 2023, repeated as Team MVP and earned First Team All-District 25-5A honors, All-Centex recognition, and selection to the PGF 14U All-Summer Team... In 2024, named Team Defensive MVP, District 25-5A Pitcher of the Year, All-Centex, and PGF 16U All-Summer Team selection... During the 2025 season, recognized as Team MVP and District 25-5A MVP, while also earning First Team All-State, Academic All-State, and PGF All-American honors.
Personal
Daughter of Matt and Christie Barber, has one older sister, Brooke... Plans to major in business management.
