Set a personal best in pole vault at the Big 12 Championships (5/13) where he cleared a mark of 5.01 meters (16-05.25 ft.), putting him in a tie for 10^th… Finished third at the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational (4/27) after clearing a mark of 4.86 meters (15-11.25 ft.)… In his first outdoor meet as a Jayhawk finished in a tie for third at the Baker Relays (3/24) with his mark of 4.70 meters (15-05.00 ft.).

Scored for the Jayhawks in his first Big 12 Championships (2/24), tying for seventh with a vault of 4.85 meters (15-11.00 ft.)… Set personal best at the Bob Timmons Challenge (12/2) where he placed third and cleared a mark of 4.90 meters (16-00.75 ft.).
