Academic All-Big 12 Second Team… Grabbed a pair of top-two finishes, in a dual meet at Rice (10/6), finishing second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.76) and third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.61)… Finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke, with a time of 1:05.76, in a double-dual against TCU and North Dakota (11/2-3)… Placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.74 at the Kansas Classic (11/16-18)… Picked up a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (2:17.87) and a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.88) in a dual at Hawaii (1/18)… Finished with a pair of third-place finishes in a dual against No. 18 Arkansas (2/2) in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.81) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.54)… Placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.54) in a dual against Iowa State (2/8-9)… Closed out the season with season-best times in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.96, sixth) and the 100-yard butterfly (56.59, 20th) at the Big 12 Championships (2/27-3/2).
2011-12 (Sophomore)
Specialized in breastroke… Placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke, in a dual meet against Minnesota (10/21), with a time of 2:22.14… Finished first (2:24.50) in the 200-yard breaststroke at a double-dual against host Northern Iowa and North Dakota (10/22) and swam the second leg of the 400-yard medley relay team that finished first with a time of 3:54.59… Grabbed first-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.45), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.62) and as a member of the 200-yard medley relay team (1:48.75), in a dual meet against Illinois (10/29)… Finished second in the 50-meter long course breaststroke (36.01) and the 50-meter long course freestyle at the Mayaguez Invite (1/7)… Picked up first-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.29) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.13) in a dual with Nebraska (1/14)… Placed third in the 200-yard breaststroke in a dual with Arkansas (1/21), with a time of 2:22.29… Finished third in the 150-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:44.32, in a dual against Iowa State (2/3-4)… Closed out the season strong, placing fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.73) and set a new career best in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.84, 11th), at the Big 12 Championships (2/22-25).
2010-11 (Freshman): Made an immediate impact for the Jayhawks as Kansas[apos] newcomer of the year and school record holder in the 200-yard breaststroke… Gave her best performance of the season at the 2011 Big 12 Championships where she scored 34 points for KU and broke the school record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a seventh place finish and a time of 2:14.57. Also compiled season best times at Big 12[apos]s in the 100-yard breast stroke (1:02.89, 10th) and 200-yard IM (2:06.49)… Claimed second with 1:07.03 time in 100-yard breast stroke against South Dakota and Northern Iowa… Finished first in 100 breast stroke for three straight meets… (1:05.68, vs Nebraska), (1:05.13 vs Arkansas), and (1:05.93 vs Vanderbilt)…Took second against Missouri in 100 breast stroke with 1:04.91 performance. Ranked number one in the team[apos]s 2010-11 top performances in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke.
High School (Baylor School): A four-year letterwinner in swimming… Part of the Girls and Combined Team Tennessee State Championship team in 2008, 2009 and 2010… Helped her team become the Girls Eastern Preparatory Champions and Girls Swimming World National Champions in 2009… Holds the school record in the 100-yard breaststroke… Won the Geoff Gaberino Most Valuable Award in 2007 and 2008, and the Leadership award and Coach[apos]s award in 2010… A member of National Honor Society and magna cum laude.
Personal: Born in Dalton, Ga… Parents are Todd and Ju-Hsin Lusk… A chemical engineering major… Plans to attend graduate school.
